Mother Always Said You Should…

My Mom used to tell me repeatedly to do this and do that, not to do this and not to do that, all in an attempt to help and protect me.  ALL, I recall, very valuable advice. Looking back on it, I can say she was, and still is, a very wise woman. 

 

Time reveals, in fact, just about every caring Mother is a Wise Woman.  I can see why we carve out a special day each year to acknowledge Mothers.  So here is a shout out to all Moms’ – Happy Mother’s Day!! 

 

As we celebrate moms, I am so grateful to still be able to enjoy my mom. As many of you know, I worked alongside my mom for many years, helping families with their real estate needs. I am grateful for that experience. Unfortunately, My Mom was not so fortunate. Her mom, my grandmother, passed away when my mom she was a very little girl. I am sure that makes her very sad this time of year.  I am sure some reading this can relate and have similar stories.  For ALL whose Mom is no longer with us, may you remember the best about them and may that memory stay strong in your heart. Unfortunately, there are also many who never had the opportunity to know their Mom due to unfortunate circumstance. I bet someone stepped up and played that roll in their life and they too deserve a Happy Mother’s Day!

 

Regardless, we can celebrate this Mother’s Day with love and appreciation knowing Moms both here and no longer here are special in more ways than we can count. 

 

Especially the Moms who are sitting right now by their Child’s hospital bed not too far from where I type this…

 

You may recall my team and I are on a mission to raise funds for both Sick Kids and Choices Youth Shelter! We do this by donating a portion of our income from home sales to this very worthy cause.

 

Right now, there are kids who are trying to beat the Cancer Monster and other debilitating diseases at Sick Kids Hospital and those youths at Choices Youth Shelter who are without family and support.  The Mom’s with kids fighting for their life are most likely NOT thinking about their special day this month.  They are simply just being “Mom” doing what a real loving Mom does.  God bless them for it.

Charitable contributions are tax deductible to a point. Rather than give your money to the government, you should consider making a donation to a charity. I believe it will somehow come back to you, well beyond a simple tax deduction.
